Bio:Charlie’s passion for anything automotive started with his first go-cart at the age of 12. He spent the last 3 years of high school in Auto Shop class. After high school he joined the U.S. Army and served 6 years with 2 deployments as a Supply Specialist. After the US army he wanted to get back to his first passion, and soon found himself back in his hometown of Medina, and here at Rod’s Tire and Automotive.
He has 3 children; Landon, Chelsea, and Chase. He loves spending time with them when he gets the opportunity and seeing the smiles on their faces when they get to see him. Charlie has a supportive family who stands behind him. His father is an LPN, and currently an in-home pediatric nurse, his mother is a photographer. (A fun fact about Charlie is when he was little his mom entered him in competitive pageants...and he won about 95% of them!!) His one brother also shares his passion of cars and trucks.
Charlie loves being able to work on all different makes and models of vehicles, and here at Rod’s with the variety we see, he is never bored. He wouldn’t trade this profession for anything.
When he was little, Charlie wanted to be a racecar driver, “but you gotta know people” so he did the next best thing...He learned to build them.
What he likes most about his job is learning something new every day, and passing his knowledge on to the up and coming generation of technicians. Every Technician has a little different knowledge and way of doing things, and it’s great when we can learn from each other.
In his spare time Charlie enjoys riding his motorcycle (in the warmer months) and working on his own truck which he enters into shows. In the colder months he enjoys his PS4, and playing Black Ops. Next time your in ask him for some tips.
In 5 years Charlie sees himself as being Master ASE Certified, and he is well on his way to being there. He sees himself working with some of the best technicians in the automotive industry here at Rod’s Tire and Automotive. We are proud to have him as part of our team!
